Goa

Goa is located on the west coast of India in the region known as Konkan. It is a blend of Indo-Portuguese culture. Swaying palms, miles of golden sands, lush greenery, incredible cultural heritage, magnificent churches, temples and monuments a unique cultural synthesis of east and west, a rare blend of yesterday and tomorrow, Such are the treasures of Goa. The history of Goa dates back to the 3rd century BC, when it was associated with the Mauryan Empire. Subsequently many dynasties ruled Goa. But the last King to rule Goa before the Portuguese arrived was Yusuf Adil Shah of Bijapur. The Portuguese consolidated their rule in Goa for over 350 years until 1961 when the Indian Army liberated Goa from the Portuguese and Goa became a Union Territory of India. And finally in the year 1987 Goa was conferred statehood and became the 25th state of the Indian Republic. Today Goa has become one of the most popular and urbane holiday destinations for tourists all around the world. With so many beautiful beaches, exotic resorts and hotels, thrilling rave parties in clubs and discos all across Goa and so many places to visit, you will always be high when you are enjoying a holiday in Goa.
